Here’s How It Works
Our step-by-step walks you through the 10 step Cali-Curl service in just 5 simple sections.
As you master your Cali-Curl skills, learn optional customizations to accommodate your client’s needs and lifest
1. Prepping the Hair & Placing the Rings
Properly prepping and sectioning the hair is critical to the Cali-Curl method. Even sections mean even application of the Beach Waving Solution Activator, and section placement affects the wave pattern!
1. Shampoo Hair With Cali-Curl Cleansing Shampoo or Cali-Curl
Hydrating Shampoo
2. Section, Twist Hair and Position Cali-Curl Rings
2. Process & Checking the Hair
During this stage, it is incredibly important to thoroughly saturate the hair in the rings and be sure to use the entire contents of the processing solution, regardless of hair length.
3. Combine Cali-Curl Bond Therapy Generator (1st 15 ml Foil Packet) into the Beach Wave Activator 4 oz. bottle. Shake Well. Apply.
4. Process the Beach Wave by Checking Periodically as Shown on the Processing Time Guide.
5. Process and Perform the Cali-Curl Test Curl with Two-Step Verification.
3. Rinse & Stabilize the Hair
Rinse & Stabilize the Hair
Now that the Cali-Curl processing is complete, you’ll need to stop the processing in a timely manner.
6. Rinse Thoroughly and Towel Blot.
7. Combine Bond Generator (2nd 15 ml Foil Packet) into the Neutralizer 4oz Bottle. Shake Well. Apply and Process for 6 Minutes.
4. Wave & Protect
During This Segment Be Sure to Use care to avoid running your fingers through the hair and allow water to separate the waves instead.
8. Open and Release Cali-Curl Rings, Rinse Gently.
9. Apply Cali-Curl Bond Extender (50 ml Foil Packet) and Process for 10 minutes.
5. Style the Hair & Support Your Client as they Enter their New Journey with Wavy Hair
These final steps are where the magic really happens with Cali- Curl! While styling for the final reveal, show your client the scrunching technique to use at home to create lasting, healthy, beautiful waves.
10. Shampoo with Cali-Curl Hydrating Shampoo and Condition with Cali-Curl Protein Infused Conditioner.
11. Scrunch and Air-Dry.
